Poland coach Leo Beenhakker rested defender Michal Zewlakow and midfielder Jakub Blaszczykowski - both of whom are recovering from minor leg injuries - but started a squad that featured most of the players expected to start Poland's opener against Germany next Sunday at Euro 2008.
Poland also plays Croatia and co-host Austria in Group B at the tournament. Denmark did not qualify.
Vingaard gave Denmark the lead in the 28th after forward Nicklas Bendtner ran onto a through ball in the box. Bendtner's low drive from the right side slipped through Poland goalkeeper Artur Boruc's arms and across to the far post where an unmarked Vingaard tapped it into an open net.
Ebi Smolarek gave Poland a chance to level seven minutes later when he sliced past Martin Jorgensen and into the box
before Jorgensen brought the Poland midfielder down in the area for a penalty.
Poland captain Maciej Zurawski took the ensuing penalty, but Denmark goalkeeper Thomas Soerensen smothered
Zurawski's low shot toward the left post. Zurawski made up for the wasted opportunity in the 43rd, latching onto a through ball on the left flank and crossing into Smolarek 10 meters (yards) out. Smolarek flicked the ball on to Krzynowek, who slotted it inside the right post.
Denmark quickly sought an answer. Dannis Rommedahl found room in the box just before the break, but Boruc charged
and stuffed the Dane's shot from the right side.
Poland took the initiative in the second half, and created a handful of chances after the break as they pushed forward
in search of a second goal. Krzynowek shot just over the bar in the 52nd minute, and substitute Wojciech Lobodzinski sent in a hard drive from
25 meters (yards) that Soerensen punched wide minutes later.
Denmark remained dangerous on the counterattack, and Bendtner almost scored in the 67th. Boruc charged the
unmarked forward and blocked his shot from 10 meters with his chest.
